The Sultan Fainted, by Darmon Meader/Peter Eldridge

(Level 5) Heavily influenced by Chick Corea, this Darmon Meader/Peter Eldridge original combines HIGH energy Brazilian rhythm with intricate harmonies and wacky lyrics! Drum and Sax/EWI intro is followed by a soprano solo, followed by five-part voicings. Instrumental solos and extensive drum/vocal exchanges build to the final vocal bridge and coda. This arrangement demands a mature rhythm section and strong rhythmic singing - a real show stopper! SSATB with rhythm section.
